Energetic Geostructures: a sustainable technology for heating an cooling of buildings
Summary
Higher, larger and deeper civil structures and buildings are now equipped with energetic geostructures. This is a reliable and environmentally friendly heating and cooling technology which minimizes the release of CO2. But there is currently no method for the geotechnical design taking into account the effects of temperature cycles applied to the foundation / soil system. In order to promote the industrially-oriented development of the energy geostructure technology, this work offers an analysis of the thermomechanical behavior of energy geostructures, and proposes an original geotechnical design tool for heat exchanger piles.Project Duration
